In general, we advise you to submit an application at the International Office of the Medical Faculty at the University of Cologne (ZiBMed) for a planned elective, internship at our children’s hospital. Most placements are granted via this route. We do not offer advice about these type of placements.
If your medical school does not have a collaboration agreement with the International Office at the University of Cologne, we kindly ask for your application with a CV (max. two pages) and a copy of your language certificate (minimum B2 level German) via mail to our internship directors, Dr. Hormos Dafsari and Dr. Jan Trieschmann (kinderklinik-pj@uk-koeln.de). These placements are generally scarce and we advise for an application at least 12 months in advance.
